Air turbines always have a power factor below one which needs to be adjusted so as to achieve optimal parameters.WindCap capacitors allow to compensate for reactive power and reduce ohmic losses in transformers, power cables, and other types of distributive equipment.Compact capacitors of WindCap series are self-healing capacitors with a film made of a metallized dielectric. MKK technology is used during their production. A current-conducting metal coating is deposited by metal vapours on one side of the film.Three electrically insulated elements are concentrically wound in a single technological cycle onto the insulated metal tube core. This guarantees exceptional precision of armature roll design. Electric contact with armatures is ensured by metal coating on end surfaces.To reduce losses the capacitor elements are connected phase-to-phase.
